  1. Do you already have a web site? If not, you can skip the first few questions relating to an existing web site.

  2. Are you looking for a major revamp of your site or just simple changes?
  3. Do you have existing pages that need to be updated? If so, how many pages?

  7. Do you have a registered business name and details you want to use on your site?
  8. Do you have a professionally designed business logo available electronically or suitable for scanning? If not, do you want Capricorn Web to design a simple business logo for you?
  9. Do you have a business slogan?
  10. How many pages do you need for your web site?

    About the look of your new site

  11. Do you have a preference for your site layout? e.g. menu to the left or top, number of "columns" etc.
  12. Have you decided on a colour scheme for your site?

  13. Have you thought about your site content? If yes, do you have your content available in an electronic document?
  14. Have you decided on your menu item names?
  15. Do you plan to provide online links from your web site to other web sites? If so, do you have their permission to link to their sites?
  16. Do you plan to have your site linked from other online sites? If so, have you organised for this to occur? Would you like Capricorn Web to organise these links?
  17. Would you consider having your web site linked from the Capricorn Web site as an example of our work (free advertising for your business)?
  18. Do you need to collect customer information in an online form? Do you want your customers to be able to contact you through your email address?
  19. Besides your business graphics, have you a clear idea about how many other graphics you want to include?

  20. Do you need anything special for your site? For example:
    • An online form for customers to complete

  21. Are you already connected to the Internet at your place of business (you have an Internet Service Provider - ISP)?
  22. Have you organised web space for your site? If so, do you know the logon details to transfer files to your host server?
  23. Does your host provide you with an email server
  24. Does it support PHP or CGI? If not, would you prefer that Capricorn Web liaises with your service provider or another space provider to organise requirements for your web site?

    About your domain name

  25. Have you reserved a domain name? If so, does your service provider have your domain name registered with them?
  26. If you want a domain name but don't have one yet, would you like Capricorn Web to organise it for you?
  27. Would you like Capricorn Web to register your site with the major Search Engines such as Google?

    The following questions relate to your customers

  28. Is there anything Capricorn Web needs to know about your customer demographics? For example, as a group:
    • Are they older folk?
    • Do they have special needs or use special equipment to access the Internet?
    • Are they predominantly computer literate?

    These questions are about ongoing maintenance of your site.

  29. Once you have your site published online, have you thought about what will need to be updated on a regular basis?
  30. Do you intend to publish a newsletter or advertising flyer on a regular basis?
  31. Will there be special events advertised that will require adding to or deletion from your site?
  32. Will there be catalogue items that will need to be updated?
  33. Would you like Capricorn Web to update your pages as required?

    These questions will assist us to manage our business relationship with you.

  34. Is your business a charity or not-for-profit organisation?
  35. Who is your contact person for your site and what are their contact details?
  36. Who approves the site content, publication and update requirements for your site? e.g, yourself, the boss, owner or board etc.
