This is a very basic site layout. The graphic for the banner is placed because the page is quite uninteresting without it. Of course the colour scheme can be easily changed to match your corporate graphics.
The page has minimal graphics....
- a banner graphic
- a graduated 1 px wide graphic for the background included in the footer and also placed behind the main panel
This layout is probably as simple as you can get using HTML and CSS. It validates and meets accessibility recommendations. It renders well in Internet Explorer, Opera and Firefox and centres in the browser window.
The footer can be a secondary menu or a repeat of the main menu for convenience.
